Help purchasing golf gti

Hello I have minimal knowledge on golfs in general and would like to see if one I have viewed is worth getting.
It's a mk5 golf gti petrol with 133k on the clock, with leather heated seats. The exterior is not in perfect condition with the headlights and grill faded, a few noticeable dings and a slow puncture on one of the wheels. As well as this it has one of the sensors gone but they've been quoted £200 to fix. I've managed to get the price down to £2200 and wanted to know if it was worth this with the issues.

Buying that will probably end up leading to a whole new set of problems. Cheap cars are never cheap for long.

Sounds like it's been neglected to me. If you're keen on it then I'd at least check the mot history on the DVLA website and see what it's failed on in the past and what advisories it's had. Might give some idea as to how it's been looked after. Agree with what's been said, it'll likely need other work that you can't see and end up costing more than another one in better Nick. A relative of mine bought a £950 Lexus and then spent over £2000 getting stuff fixed on it.  :stupid:

Cheap to buy= expensive to fix but that imho as I have found to my cost :(

I wouldn't waste my money sounds like there will be a few hidden problems with that. Take ur time and spend ur money wisely will be worth it rather than rushing
