i have a mk5 golf gti, diamond black, 56,000 miles, leather heated seats, lowered on h&r springs, 2004, ed30 wheels, three door, manual

just wondering what sort of price I would get for it?

You would likely get a better price, and/or a quicker sale if you refitted the standard springs and wheels, and sold the ED30 wheels separately.

A lot of people are fearful of modified cars.

My prices were based on what I've been offered on mine, mine is a similar spec, 56 plate, silver, FSH & 65K. I was offered £4500 trade in on mine.

^This, also are you selling privately? When I was buying my golf I found it useful to look at ads on ebay and then watch them through to finish to see how much I would be paying for different conditions, mileage etc. This might give you an idea of how much people are paying.

I was offered for 4k at trade in for my ed30 just the other week, 07 plate on 83k.

When I laughed and said no chance, the salesman looked affronted.

Nope specifically told him it was an Ed30, had him on Guntree looking at proces all around 7k and refused to budge, needless to say he's not getting a sale!

I was offered £3800 buy webuyanycar! After there initial offer of £4500 (which was low but I needed the cash). Needless to say they didn't get a sale either..
