Evening all
My names Stephen Im 25 I live in Gravesend in Kent
Ive recently ish sold my weekend toy Mitsubishi Evo 7 390 bhp and my trusty daily Skoda Fabia Vrs mk1 and brought myself a Jimny for the winter.

Im tempted to get myself a Ed30 mk5 DSG.
Ive always wanted a flappy paddled fast car and am on the look out for one that is say stage2 Plus etc so something around 350 bhp plus

Anything i should look out for,
in your personal opinion would i be better off saving a bit more and going for a audi s3 tiptronic or does a 4wd take away the fun.

a friend of mine has an ed30 manual running 360 bhp and 380 ftlb and is a very good car but im very interested in the whole dsg thing, Also would it be advisable to get a LSD is it a worthwile mod? My girlfriends fiesta ST has a quaife lsd and it handles amazing but i havent driven a mk7 fiesta st without one so really not sure?

heres a couple of pics just to make the post more interesting
many thanks

Welcome along. Love that model evo  although I throught that model was a evo8  :signLOL: Best off going to test drive a dsg equipped car even if it's just a normal gti with it in so you can see what you prefer yourself. I personaly don't like it, fine it very boring and if anything it's too smooth it seems to make the car feel slow even at 2+ from my experience.

Again maybes go test drive a s3 to see what you make of the haldex, I've just bought a mk6 golf r (s3 underneath) and love the grip it offers it's incredible  :driver:

Nice jimny too  :happy2: always liked them

Don't do it mate they're sh*t................

Ha!!! Funny jokes :signLOL: :pomppomp: :rolleye:

Awesome car mate you'll love it!

Mines a DSG...... It's not an edition 30 but a lowly K03 powered GTI. It's got a few nice bits and it's about 260hp now.....

I absolutely love it mate. I love banging through the flappy paddle gears. And with a decat I literally mean banging through the gears :happy2:

Give it a go mate. I seriously doubt you'll regret it :happy2:

Well done  Love the 6R :happy2:
Cooler than a 7R I reckon
The 7R is gonna be Common McCommon in a few years. The 6 will always be a bit rarer and cooler IMHO

Thanks  :happy2: yeah I agree with all of that 100% even if I had the money for the 7R I would still of bought the 6R! The 7R doesn't do anything for me Might drive well but it's so dull to look at I just can't get excited over them.
