Returned To The Fold

Hi!
After trading in my MkV GTI four-ish years ago, to replace my stolen Defender, I picked up a Mk7 GTI last week.
It's a 2014 Tornado Red, 5 door, with Performance Pack & 19" Santiago's.
Never personally been a fan of leather in a GTI, so went for the classic tartan seats again.
Also, still like changing gears myself, so opted for the manual 'box once more.
Started out looking for a white car, but the contrasting black bodywork, Santiago's, red PP badging & red door + cill LEDs all looked particularly good on a Tornado red car, so that's where I ended up!
I couldn't find a car with DCC within my budget (I have a house to refurbish in the Spring), but it actually rides & handles great on the standard suspension & 19" alloys - I just live in fear of kerbs with 35 profile tyres!
Have to say that the Mk7 is a big step up from my old MkV & I'm really pleased with it so far.

Great stuff Andy. Sounds like a lovely car. Tornado Red is for winners :happy2:
Get some pictures up if you can! Looking forward to upgrading to a MK7 someday myself. Enjoy your new motor!

Thanks for the kind words.
I'm waiting on a delivery of some Gtechniq cleaning kit & will post some piccies after I've given the car the once over.
Will continue having fun in the meantime!
