DSG and Haldex service

Hi,
Does the Gearbox or Haldex unit require any special tools from VW for a service?
Also, will it need 'plugging in' for updates or anything?

My service is only fluid and filter on my DSG in the GTI. You mentioned Haldex...you have the R32? Then you are asking about doing both, yes? Should just be a fluid and filter swap for both.
