Mkv fuse boxe question and also fault code help
« on: January 10, 2017, 10:50:20 pm »
Hey all, im new to the forum and would just like to ask a few question's.
I bought my first mkv gti a few months back and i love it so far, however..
Could someone tell me under the engine bay, theres a fuse box next to the battery, and when i opened mine and followed a diagram off google, it seems half my fuses are missing? For example fuse 8 (10a) is engine coolant blower, motor control module. Mine doesnt have a fuse? Also f27 ceankcase breather heater, i have no fuse? Whats the reason behind this.

Now for my fault code question. I have the obdeleven and when i scan i get a fault code turbo boost pressure not detected mechanical (implausible signal) p2261 intermittent
The car seems to boost ok. The reason i scanned in the first place was because my temp gauge seems to go from 90c down to 70c when im driving, but if i sit and idle it will stop at 90, ive been told its a stuck open thermo.

Thanks in advance

Welcome pal,

Some fuses will be missing as they're not relevant to your vehicle hence the empty spaces.

Turbo boost pressure would most likely be the Diverter valve on the turbo that's blown its seal and needs replacing or the pcv crank case ventilation breather had packed up.

Read this thread I found which will help.

Good luck
