Brake Bleeding Procedure
« on: January 11, 2017, 07:27:52 pm »
Hi Folks,

After having the sensor in the pedal for the ESP fixed, the brake pedal is spongy, and if you press on it firmly for a period of time goes to the floor. Not a good thing if you are braking slowly from high speeds.

I hear that you have to use software to bleed the system by running the ABS pump.

What is this software, and the procedure?

Thanks

See http://www.micksgarage.com/blog/project-gti-how-to-bleed-your-brakes/

Coincidentally, I totally flushed my Touran brake fluid today.
As usual, after running the ABS pump the colour was manky. When I bled the clutch it looked like old engine oil coming out.
Used to have Edition 30 - number 009 and a GT TDI 140.
Now have an S4 B8 Avant (stage 2)
