mk4 r32 vs ed30
« on: January 27, 2010, 02:08:21 pm »
Hi guys,

Just wondering whether anyone on here has had both cars and what one they preferred and why? Better points for each etc...

I have always loved the mk4 r32 and never driven one and currently own a ed30 so just curious.

James.

....

A good mate of mine has this one which I have had the great pleasure of driving occasionally : -

It's modified including a loud Milltek and sounds glorious. Not being turbo'd the power delivery is quite different and I would describe it as feeling much looser. Interior feels more luxurious than the Mk5 Golfs.

this was my previous:

still slow and heavy without mods though, and to mod is very very expensive for any decent power gain. gripped aaaaallll day long in the twisties - that said i wouldnt go back to one. the spec levels and build quality on the MK5 is simply superior

been there done that

 great car but its a little under powered and its gagging for a turbo a supercharger bolting on  :driver: dont get me wrong its no slouch and they are quick off the line and the noise is

but they are a heavy car and are comfy too but if u want noise and have fuel to burn   7mpg if giving some stick  :driver:   then go for it if but i would not sell an ed30 for one

Mods yes but way too many to stick in this little box
