Just saw the note on ETKA, 1K0612041GM should be ordered with 056 129 777 which is just a little plastic plug for the spare nipple. Great work VW.

Thanks mate, I was in at my VW today and they finally managed to come to the same conclusion you have.

Picking up the pipe and the ridiculous cap tomorrow night.

Picked up the parts, is this really an acceptable solution from VW?

I'll be getting the same parts later this week, how well does the green cap fit? I guess it should only ever be under vacuum so doesn't need to be that firmly fixed but for peace of mind you'd hope it would be secure.

Let us know if it fixes your boost leak, i'm buying it for the same reason!

I would have thought the cap would have been made to fit all the way to the end, but that's as far as it goes. It doesn't feel as secure as it should to be honest.

I'm guessing it's another cost cutting exercise like the actual pipe, making one part to fit different engines, this cap can probably be used on other parts.

And why is it green?!

It will be interesting to see if this fixes both our leaks, I have my doubts about mine!
