Key fob not working/ car not responding to my fob.
« on: January 19, 2017, 11:31:29 am »
I've read the other posts regarding this, I'm very certain it's not my battery since I used both keys to try unlock/lock from the buttons and doesn't respond. I can still unlock/lock the car itself with the key.

Just wanted to know what possible problems could there be?

Furthermore I've just discovered that once I release my key from the ignition the doors do not automatically unlock like it used to.

Also I've got the "lock after driving above 5mph" feature too which isn't working now too.

Re the key - did it work before?

You are going to need VAGCOM to delete what ever keys your car know about and then re add your current two.

The key was perfectly fine before all the buttons worked, led light flashes when I press the button but just not seem to be doing anything.

You reckon it's the case of being reprogrammed again? Also why is this the case? I haven't replaced the battery or anything to reset the coding. In fact I was in the car and until I came out that's when i discovered this fault.
