Are you letting your car warm up properly? If the gearbox oil isnt up to operating temp, then I cant see it running smoothly.....

On the incorrect flow fault, this sounds like the evap system purge valve has failed open.  This can cause over revving issues.  Changed mine last week (I had an intermittent flow fault) and the car would rev up slightly at idle and occasionally throw a CEL.  Now all is well again.  I have a DSG GTI too.

Hope this helps.
Thanks mate, think I've read this somewhere before where the canister has failed so may have to buy a new one of those as this error keeps flagging up.  :drinking:

Paradox, mine is clunky until warm so I know where you're coming from - but surely r5 would have noticed this a long time ago if this was the issue. To me it sounds like it is a recent issue.

OEM+ If you experienced the same issues and managed to resolve it, then that sounds promising. However, the P0441 code is very common and I haven't heard of it causing this issue before. Could be...

Maybe try both a DSG adaption and throttle body adaption. Maybe even clean the throttle body whilst you have the rest of the front end off? They are free exercises that can rule out potential causes
thanks peskyjones did clean the TB as it was off so will do a reset sometime this week but I know this isn't anything to do with those as it happened before and I am reset the dsg couple of months back so wanted to be 100% before posting on here.
