Lupo Gti All Black Edition
« on: January 24, 2017, 06:15:00 pm »
Hi Everyone,

I've seen some rather fancy 'other vag' projects, so I'm sorry that this may be a bit of a disappointment

Here is my Lupo Gti

I bought it in May 2016 after wanting one for a long time, an itch I had to scratch.

I've spent time sourcing parts that are no longer available to buy from VW/TPS and fitted them to the car, as well as lots of other parts replaced to keep it as good as possible.

2017 Plans : Run alongside my Ed30 to keep the mileage down on it, take to the nurburgring so may be a little track prepping to be done
Heres a few pics of  how it looks now, Non factory things this particular lupo didnt come with that I've later fitted is the full factory heated leather interior, cambridge rear lights, glass rear wiper blank and KW V1 Coilovers

You know what, I love these little things. They look so sorted with a good drop. If it was mine I'd be running it with deep dishes though. Azev A or something, with a polished lip. It needs more poke!

They're 1.6 16v if I remember right? Imagine a TFSI in one of these

There's a feature in this month's Performance VW of a drag team using a Lupo and fitting a Golf R TFSI engine. So it can be done...

Moving over to Flickr, sorry for the broken picture links!

You mean squeeze the engine bay around the engine? Have you got a link or something to this car, would love to see it.

Thanks for the replies guys, i love this car

Re: TFSI in the lupo, I've seen a couple done, a lovely red one was done using the DSG box but they had to run it on 17's or 18's to get the gearing right for the dsg. That was a PVW feature car a couple of years back.

I've got this months PVW but its still sat in the back of my ED30 so I havent had chance to read it yet, but I'm looking forward to the lupo feature, 1/4 mile in 10 Seconds or under IIRC

If it can get the power down. RWD would work!

You'd need some pretty strong brave pills to drive a RWD TFSI Lupo mate haha short wheel base and sh*t tonnes of power is a recipe for the nearest hedge

True, but re the V8 car, once you're shoehorning that in I'd imagine all bets are off!

Thats really nice! I've had two 6N2 Polo GTIs which are (kinda) the same thing but I'd really, really like a Lupo GTI one day to tuck up in the garage...
