Hey folks, I had my cambelt changed on my 2.0 TFSI a few weeks ago and ever since I drove it home the car feels like its been robbed of about 50bhp. It starts fine and drives smoothly except for the lack of urge. Throttle response is particularly numb with the bottom end seemingly most affected. I contacted the garage at the time who suggested it might have been the ECU re-calibrating after the battery disconnect but I didn't really buy into this. So any ideas? Could it be that the belt is off by a tooth or would the car also run rough if this was the case? I don't think its a boost leak because the performance is affected throughout the rev range. Also I've no warning lights on.
Cheers for any suggestions you could give me before I go back and confront the guy who did the work!
Matt.
