These days, maybe a little steep, but not far off.

There used to be a seller on ebay who churned out refurbed TTRS calipers for 350. He now only seems to offer the refurb service itself. The calipers seemed more common second hand a year or so ago, too.

So really, supply has affected demand, and hence price. 500 isn't that bad. I mean, show me where you can get a refurbed pair for 350 today.....?

Cheers for that lads. It does seem a decent price, and like you say, definitely not as many around as there was. Then picking up a cheaper pair and refurbing and painting.........easy looking close to £500!! Think i,ll go for them. Cheers.

Deffo consider disc price into it .

Tps want i think about 600 quid for a pair . There prone to warping aswell hence why so many for sale .

You can fit adaptors and run 350 merc ml discs though

Do they still warp when fitted to a Golf?   TTRSs are a fair chunk heavier, so the brakes have a lot more work to do.

Is it a design flaw or just people not breaking them in properly?

Worth mentioning the Dave B/AKS adapter brackets that let you run 340s with these calipers... just in case you weren't aware @trackep

I just picked up a full set, front 340mm and rear 310mm brakes off eBay. Came with everything bar hoses and were off a 2014 Seat Leon Cupra 280. They are manual rear handbrake. Same brakes as Mk7 gti PP allegedly, so just keep your eyes peeled fella.

Nice  :happy2:  Thanks for the tip!

I worked out today what the issue is with the standard brakes.  The bloody rear calipers!  They keep seizing, which gives a soggy / long pedal.  Annoying as I had 2 brand new ones fitted by VW last year.  Are they are any better calipers for the back?

Don't VW parts come with 2 year warranty so maybe you could get new calipers?
