Well i bought a set of scabby monxa 2s from ebay at christmas and got a bargain price of £250, they werent really that bad, no kerbing ect, just white-worm on all 4s but no majour pitting.
Anyhoo i talked my refurb company in to doing for £200 (usually costs £250) and decided to go for a full painted surface as i didnt want the milking re-occuring.
I wanted as shiney a surface as possible on the outer face but with chamfers and wheel backs black to make them as close as possible match to the MK6 golf wheels.
With the two new tyres i had to buy to complete the look, this cost me just over£800 all in which was more than i had intended, but at the same time i didnt want to disturb the OEM offset as i i will be dropping it and didnt want any rubbing issues, I also think that these suit the GTI perfectly so there were no real contenders apart from the pescaras.
As you can see from this image below the muppet that coated the wheel has decided to coat the hub flange , so i had to take them to my work and polish off the excess paint
He has done quite a good job of them and im happy with the end results
