Revo Select Plus Switch Help

(1/2) > >>

Phil_T:
Right I got my car mapped before christmas with Revo stage 1, evoms intake & forge dv & I have just recieved my select plus switch today which I need some help with.

How do I get the map that I have on my car onto the switch incase I need to turn the map off to take it to Audi etc? & where would it go to if uploaded? (The ABC User presets)

What is the performance option for?

Really need some help with this as I have a switch that at the moment can only turn my map off & not put it back on lol

vRS Carl:
The MAP is not stored on the Switch.

If you want to "Turn it off" you set the selector switch to 1 and put it into the OBD port and wait for the 3 ascending beeps.

When you turn the map back on you use either the no.2 or the user presets A,B,C

2 is REVO Default performance option which iirc is Boost 6 Timing 2 Fuel 9

Option 3 turns on anti theft (excellent as it disables the accelereator which means even if some scrotum has your keys they couldn't drive away with the car without that switch)

Option 4 Disables Anti-Theft

With the user presets you can have 3 different settings for the car.

For Example my switch has the following: ( i am Stage 2+ btw)

A = Boost 9 Timing 5 Fuel 8
B = Boost 9 Timing 6 Fuel 6
C = Boost 9 Timing 7 Fuel 6

Now before you go messing with the settings you need to use VCDS to log what is happening to the car with the changes you have made.

But you alter the settings by using the software included in the ox on the CD

Any probs PM me if you wish

Can you not upload the map onto the switch and store it?

Are you saying that if I turned it off then put it back to 2 it would put my map back on? How would I know if the settings were the same?

I am guessing VCDS is vagcom? as I dont have this & heard it costs abit

vRS Carl:
The MAP is hidden in the ECU

Audi will not detect it (unless they look for it specifically)

I have had warranty work carried out on my car 3 times and they never once argued (Despite the car being obviously tuned)

What setting 1 does is set the Boost,Timing & Fuel to the Stock car levels

Once you then come out the garage you use either Setting 2 or A,B,C to turn it back on

Speak to whoever put REVO on your car and ask them what settings they used. Or plug the switch into the car whilst connected to a Laptop and retrieve the settings from the ECU (all explained in the instructions)

Then set User preset A to that setting. That way then every time you have to turn it off you turn it back on using A and it will be at the Settings when mapped.

VCDS is VAGCOM and you need it to log if you want to start upping the Boost,Timing or fuel settings so that you don't make the car run dog rough or run to lean and create very high EGT's etc

No map stays on the car you only alter the settings with the switch.

Personally I would read the instructions in the box.
They should tell you how to connect to your car and find whst the settings currently are. Based on that you can program the switch yourself with your current settings and/or add your own settings.
