Central locking issue..
« on: February 18, 2017, 04:33:42 pm »
The drivers door lock on my GTI does not lock/unlock with central locking, the passenger door, boot etc locks/unlocks fine and indicators flash etc, it's just the drivers door that's at fault. It locks and unlocks fine using the manual lock barrel. I'm guessing I just need a new door lock module but just wondered if anyone can confirm that this Is the problem before before I buy a new one?

Thanks

Check the wiring from the door to the car, they are prone to break..... same thing has just happened to mine and the wire has broken

Do you check in that gaiter between the body and the door, or do I need to take the door trim panel off?
