mmmmm not sure what to do altho i've always fancied getting R888s  :driver:

got a month or so before i make my mind up so i'll decide at the time

so are the R888s good in the wet but not in standing water ?

In torrential rain late last year on the motorway my car was aquaplaning at 50mph wearing goodyear eagle f1 assys, so wouldnt like to imagine what things would have been like wearing r888's.

In the latest fast car mag they were talking about the r888's being scary to drive in the rain as they were driving back to the UK from the nurb.

I don't see what the issue is with simply driving for the conditions..??

After all, if people did this, it would prevent about 90% of the crashes on the road today..

LOL, I would have on the way back from the 'ring, but Redrobin had set his satnav and I hadn't......and he was doing 90mph+ in torrential rain, with me trying to keep up whilst looking at all the aquaplaning danger signs at the side of the Autoroute. :scared:
Golf R gone.

Me too, just waiting on the weather to remain consistently above 0 degrees.
