Xenon headlamp..
« on: February 14, 2017, 06:38:07 pm »
I recently purchased my MK5 GTI which has factory xenons, I noticed the passenger beam was way to high but couldn't get it down far enough with the adjuster, I took the cover off the back of the headlight and found that the xenon bulb and mount/lens are swinging up and down, really loose, like it has come off of its bottom mount, or maybe broken! Is this common? Can it be fixed?

Thanks.

You can get a fixing kit for the light but sounds like it's come of the adjuster

And if it's come off the adjuster is that a simple fix?

Had a look today and you were right, it had come off the adjuster and clipped back on! Happy days! Thanks for your help.

Will do, are they prone to issues then?
