I'm looking for some advice about buying a MK7 GTI, I have a specific spec in mind and I am in no major rush but would like to make the move from my MK5 GTI to the the MK7 in the next couple of months. The problem I am finding is that the dealers are under valuing my car by nearly 2K and not willing to budge much on the car they have for sale. I am looking to trade my car in as I don't want the hassle of selling it privately, I just want a fair price for it (although I expect it to be slightly lower than a private sale might get). I have seen a couple of cars now and when comparing to other cars on the VW website in different a colour they seem to be over priced, I am looking at 2 specific colours and so not interested in others but have used them as a comparison.
Any advice on what you would expect to negotiate in terms of money from a 1-2 year old car?
