Wills MK5
« on: February 23, 2017, 07:49:14 pm »
Originally joined the forum before buying my mk5 GTI which i picked up mid december, having decided to upgrade my from my first car my bora....

Bought it with 67k on, and it had full service history and many receipts from over the years. I knew i had to own it from the moment i test drove it. Its by no means perfect, and needs a little work to bring it up to where i want it, but its a keeper, and I will be slowly working on it to bring it up to my standards....

So in the 2 months i had the cam follower replaced, and had the cheap rubbish battery that was in the car replaced with a Bosch S5 one.

I then upgraded the head unit to an MFD2 as a temporary upgrade

I upgraded all the interior lights to LED

And I've got the US daytme running lights turned on

Thanks its getting a full respray soon aswell so it should be mega fresh with all the colour coding done too! And the bulb kit was just a random one off ebay! To be honest it wasnt the best kit but did the job and was cheap enough, looking into getting red led for the footwells soon... something a little different!

Managed to get the VWR kit fitted along side a Ram air oversize, but future mods are on hold due to a pending holiday and someone stealing the sideskirts off the gti, hate how she looks without them atm! A littlr disheartened to say the least

Annoying how others dont respect peoples property!
