I'm always amazed at how tight and smooth the car is even after 9 years plus of ownership.  If it's clean and hoovered most people think it's only a couple of years old.  I'd keep it if I could but have a T6 on order so It'll have to go in a month or so.

Yes when looked after they are amazingly tight still.

My first (and last) GTI was an 07 with 84K and it had been serviced far more than the standard schedule, the car felt so tight and poised and gave confidence when driving it enthusiastically.

Have you tried to get the rust done under warranty? Could possibly be sorted foc & would definitely help with sale

VW have changed their stance on the corrosion warranty, after so many claims their official standpoint is now a 50% contribution. A joke really

Ebay classifieds has got to be worth a punt, it will be one of the best and cheapest on there.
Wish it had 2 more doors, id be very keen if it did as I'm on the lookout for something similar but need the doors for the nipper!

I have sold 2 of my cars through Pistonheads. Also it's only about £10 to advertise for an indefinite period of time so really you have nothing to lose!
