Just out of interest - (if you are getting a new windscreen on your insurance) - do auto-glass and the likes replace with OEM windscreen with the VW markings or do they always supply and aftermarket product?

Rich

To behonest I didnt ask about the OEM, but will do and see what they say

Just had a another chat with auto-glass

Direct Line Insurance wont allow them to use OEM, so will have to go with what they supply, they said the specifications are the same as the OEM.

Autoglass have replaced my glass twice and on both occasions replaced the gel packs. Even got a pair of free rubber screen trims and now a free screen for the four times I've been messed about so result

Make sure they get you the correct colour screen as mine is tinted blue  :happy2:

No polarised screens

spoke to them and its blue tinted :-) thanks

Always go for oem glass, there is no comparison between the genuine article and pattern parts.
I have put a few windows in T5's and always insist on VW glass
