Just had another look at the Russian site that shows how to add the USB cable. You can also see the microphone wires and they appear to even be attached to a plug making attaching the old microphone even easier.

Is it for the older Desay WinCE unit or the newer linux Noname one?

I think it's for the desay one but I suspect they will be basically the same if not identical inside.
I can add the link when I get home if you want.

Sure, it'll be interesting to confirm and if so I'll add a usb extender to the glovebox instead. It's annoying to have the cable flapping about the front...

Here you go.

https://www.drive2.ru/l/468837806471380994/

The video at the top actually shows how to connect a gps module by the look of it. But the photos give you what you need to know for the USB

Yeah that's for the 330G non plus Desay model if it mentions GPS...  Hmm

My gut feeling is the inside of the plus is going to be considerably different.

Since that link is a search, some of those are  and some aren't.  There are several versions of the rcd 330. There's the rcd330g which has a smaller screen and can play cd. There's the rcd330 plus, which has a larger screen and no cd capability. Both of these can either be car play versions or not depending on whether or not they are versions a or b. Then there is the new version. Sometimes called rcd340 or rcd330 version c.

think you will be ok with a 'L'.

Thank you!

Of course now I'm quite interested in the version with Android Auto. :D I suppose this one would still work with my L version.

However, I'm still waiting to see some feedback about it.

Yeah I'm waiting for other suppliers to get it, as it stands it's just a firmware hack to enable it.
Not sure if the Indian market RCD340G is different hardware at all, and they've just spliced and merged some firmware into the Chinese market RCD330G Plus or not. We'll see as time goes on I guess.

I've heard that there is a bug with the rcd340 whereby each time it is turned on all volume goes to the front left speakers. You then have to use the balance and fader to adjust it. This would become very irritating for me. There may be a fix coming or maybe there is already one.

Not that my 187B version rcd330 plus is without bugs.

Yeah that's my concern, I asked the seller and he flat out denied it was a problem.
Which concerns me.

Hi Guys - new to here
just about to purchase this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/VW-6-5-MIB-6-5-RCD330-RCD330G-Plus-RCD510-RCN210-Car-Radio-No-Name-6RD/32780955682.html?spm=2114.13010608.0.0.Nka5Ae

as recommended by you guys earlier this year but had a few questions:
I have a MK6 Golf (59 plate) I dont have steering wheel control but i do have parking sensors - is this still available to work ?
also do i need to purchase anything else apart from the unit ? like campus or antenna or adaptors or anything like that ?

sorry for sounding stupid

thanks in advance
