Swapped out canbus gateway got ESC and Traction lights

Swapped out my canbus gateway to stop battery drain now I've got my ESC and traction lights up on the dash, is this normal and go away after a drive or is something wrong? I plugged in my old one after but them the steering wheel light came up so kept it with the newer

Perhaps I can be useful!

Start the car. Turn the wheel all the way left. Then all the way right. Then centre. Then drive.

Seems to happen if the battery comes off the car etc.
