Headunit upgrade
« on: March 10, 2017, 09:25:44 am »
Hi guys, new to the forum and looking for some advice.
Upgrading my headunit after trying a cheapo Chinese unit off ebay, decided it wasn't worth it

I'm now better the Dynavin N6 unit, like this..
Look at this on eBay  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400861639833

And the kenwood DNX520 or 521..

Any user recommendations?
Thanks in advance:)

I have the kenwood dnx521dab and i love it.
Garmin satnav is ace, plays dvd's and cd's etc. Bluetooth for the phone which is very handy. Has DAB radio and sd card slot. I have a 80gbcard in mine full of music. Inputs for cameras and outputs for extra screens.
Also have a usb input in the glove box which also has a ipod connection.
You can even split it into 2 zones so you can watch a dvd up front and have the radio on in the rear.

Easy to use and pleasing to the eye. With the correct cables you can use the steering wheel controls to.

Only downside is start up takes 30secs or so and it has kenwood written on the front so its a target for thiefs but it has a removable security panel.

Err don't you mean DNX521. I've got the same unit, as you said, really easy to fit with the right cables and an excellent unit, so glad I went with it but yes the delay on start up is a bit annoying.

I'v had a Dynavin N6-VW for 3 years and it has no failed with the white screen issue. Really disappointed as i paid £410 as it was supposed to be a superior unit. Think I'll go for a cheaper unit next time.
