Cant wait to be a valued member of this forum but i require help please

My drivers side window is not acting as it should. If i push the button down to the second click it will go all the way down as it should but when i click it once or twice to bring it back up it trys to go down again then i will let go and on the second click it does nothing and then on the third click it goes back up but the auto does not work. I have changed the switch's but this has not worked. If anyone has had this issue before i would be so grateful for some pointers or a fix. Im really trying to learn more about cars and this awesome little rocket of a car.

Thank you both for these responses. The post looks very complicated for me in terms of the wiring, also im not experienced enough to tackle a job like that. I might have to take it to a garage i know for them to replace the wiring harness which seems to be the main issue like insulation braking and causing weird responses from the car like the window not shutting the first time. Thanks again guys
