Stage2+ Edition 30s
« on: January 30, 2010, 10:43:05 am »
How many people are stage2+ on their Edition 30s and still running the standard intercooler.
I'd be interested to hear what your current settings are.

Not sure how many replies, you will get, I think most of us on Stg 2+ code are running uprated FMIC's.

Tried it for a while with the Standard IC and found heat soak a bit of an issue on the spirted drives.

The uprated IC made a noticeable difference  :happy2:

I had a PM from him earlier, he suggested he was running boost9 but I wasn't aware his engine/turbo had gone bang.

Would the standard S3 cooler be classed as an uprated intercooler? I am going stage 2+ also and by the sounds of it I am going to need to get a bigger cooler. Was thinking of the S3 one but would like to hear some advice on that!

The S3 intercooler has a larger core than the ed30 so is a useful upgrade, as is the THS intercooler and forge twintercooler.
It's not mandatory for stage2+, factors such as the revo setting, driving style (aggressive, on full boost for long periods of time in different temperature ranges etc) are also considerations.
Personally my spirited driving is very limited in terms of both frequency and duration so for me personally this is less of a consideration but others will disagree.

your signature stages a "custom remap"

If you're running Revo and getting fuel cuts I would check your cam follower and log the vehicle to find the fault
