Please help!!! Camshaft issue
« on: March 15, 2017, 05:51:33 pm »
Just had my timing belt and pump done, and when it's come back fault code p0011 has appeared. I've had it back to the garage and they say the timing is spot on. Can anyone shed any light please????

If the garage say the timing is spot on check the other two possible causes detailed on RossTech:

If they are fine, have somewhere else check the timing.

Find someone with VCDS

Read reply#43 by Pesky Jones in this thread (I know it's the cam chain job not Tbelt)

Check your values match those quoted if they differ and your vehicle drove fine before your repairer touched it then I expect the cam is half tooth out.

Just checked my timing and getting 23.5-24kw.
I saw 22.5kw for a split second a few times though, might of been me blipping the throttle though

I dont understand how it could be the cam linking chain that is out. All the did was do the cambelt, they shouldnt have gone anywhere near the chain.
