New Pirelli owner - midlands
« on: March 19, 2017, 12:36:25 pm »
Hi all,
I'm Reece.

I've just bought my first GTI (although not my first VW).

Here's a picture of my old Up!

And a picture of my new Pirelli Edition

I work at VW in Worcester and this came along as a p/x so I snapped it up for an absolute bargain!

Looking forward to being part of the forum and cracking on with some mods!

Welcome! A rare sight the Pirelli edition. Don't think I've ever seen one on the road. Someone's been a bit lazy part-ex'ing that - guess they don't know what it is or can't be bothered! Still, your gain!

Am sure you will get your money back, if you sell in future. I tried a Pirelli 5-dr manual in black before I settled on my ED30, only because my ED30 was better specced and it was genuinely what I wanted. I liked the car, and the Pirelli interior was better in person than I'd seen in pics.

Have you many plans for the car? Oh, and the most important question - DSG or manual?!

Yeah it's the first one I've ever seen in the metal!

No major plans at the moment. It's already got a milltek cat-back and an aftermarket air filter.

It's got a broken coil spring on the rear so it's going to go lower but I'm undecided on springs or coilovers. Don't want to go too low as it caused me nothing but trouble with the up!

I keep toying with the idea of an intake but I'm easy either way.

The only other things I'm looking at are an RNS510 and maybe xenon headlights if I can get a set for the right price.

It's a manual. Was looking for an edition 35 DSG before but this was so cheap I had to buy it!

Only got one pic of the interior and it's not a great one!

Have some more of the outside though...

Yeah I miss the up! Had to get rid to get a mortgage and had been driving a standard fabia since.
