You'd know immediately if you were still in trouble. Only other issue would be oil pump but we'll not go there.

Its lasted up to 2 weeks before going on again yano.. and dont mention the oil pump!! Haha

From what you mentioned of the oil strainer being clogged up I'd say that's the problem resolved touch wood.  :happy2:
