You've left your lights on alarm
« on: March 23, 2017, 09:30:49 am »
I noticed today that my car doesn't buzz/Chime/Beep when you open the door with the lights are turned on. Is something broken, or turned off it pretty normal for cars to do this so assume the golf should?

I find it's intermittent on all VW's.

With my gf's car it only works every other time.

Solution - Put in auto lights  :signLOL:

But in all seriousness I don't know, I figured electrical gremlins but would be interested in a solution.

Thanks, I normally have Auto lights on, but they didn't come on auto in the rain this morning so I went to manual.

It's because the lights will turn off automatically when you lock the car. You should only hear the alarm if you leave the sidelights on or an indicator on
