When do you buy the hairdressers  :ashamed:

It's funny, I'm at peace with the fact it's a hairdresser car. Should make it all the more funny when we're hopefully passing more expensive metal on track.

I've been referring to it as "the hairdryer" with my mate, who seems to be getting wound up by it! So I'm thinking maybe I should get a big f*ck off head and shoulders sticker on it...

Exactly! The times when you'll frustrate those in their modern hatches will be well worth the purchase price and more. Sad to say, I was one of those who took the mick when a friend bought his mx-5 track car. His driving and enjoyment of that car is something I did understand in the end.
Love the head and shoulders idea for the livery...!

Peugeot RCZs. The amount of silver foxes I've seen driving them around here has confirmed it in my eyes.

I'm 40 this year and been looking at the TTRS (serious bit of kit not a midlife car at all imo) but am strangely drawn to a MX-5 25th Anni Edition - now this is something I have always considered as being a bit girly and a midlife crisis car but I am strangely drawn to it.... must be "going through the change"

I think it helps that they are so cheap to run/insure so can still have the Stage 2+ Eddie at same time

You consider 40 to be mid life?    I'm 44 and nowhere near ready for any car which some folk might consider an MLC special!  An MLC car is a bottom rung bright red Cayman that my middle aged boss at work has just bought himself.  You know the sort.....ticks the 20" wheel option, but the smallest engine and smallest brakes that look like saucers.

I like TTRSs technically, but I wouldn't own one.  If I wanted that much power in a small, but heavy package with a 4 ring badge, I'd get the RS3 instead and enjoy a bit of practicality to go with the speed.

MX5, hmmmmm.  Now you've ruined it!  But you can redeem yourself by buying a Flyin Miata though  :happy2:   http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/first-official-pictures/mazda/these-go-up-to-eleven-flyin-miata-launches-nd-mazda-mx-5-v8-conversion/

sorry to disappoint you pudd, but according to official statistics at 44 you are more-or-less "past it" (mid life that is!)   :signLOL:

see https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/lifeexpectancies/bulletins/lifeexpectancyatbirthandatage65bylocalareasintheunitedkingdom/2014-04-16

better get that flyin miata organised pronto - before it's too late!

I've been saving for years now and I passed the Ford dealer the other day.

I very very nearly did the exact same thing!!!!
