Engine Coolant Temp Sensor on Radiator Outlet

(1/1)

MikeBee:
Hi All,

Just got my 2008 ED30 at the weekend and borrowed a mate's VAGCOM cable. Ran VCDS to get a list of diagnostic codes to see if there's anything obvious that needs fixing.

One fault came up that I knew about because the diverter valve has been making a funny noise, so I've replaced that with a new 710G part and cleared the fault.

The other one is a bit of a mystery to me and I can't find any existing info on it (see below).

Has anyone got any idea where to start diagnosing?

Thanks,

Mike.

Common problem just make sure you note the colour of the existing sensor and refit the same colour and PIN number

Awesome that makes sense - thanks for the rapid reply!

Hi, having the p2185 code come up on my golf. Unfortunately that link isn’t working. Any help or advice would be really appreciated.

Thanks!
