Boot loom repair
« on: April 04, 2017, 12:40:38 pm »
My boot has stopped opening, and my rear wiper never sits level anymore. Having inspected my bodge repair of the rear wiring loom previously I suspect that is the culprit.

Anyone used this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111831479470

Can you not just find the break and solder/heat shrink?

That's what I would do.  Those repair looms whilst handy, are pretty bulky with all those connectors.

The wiper not returning to rest properly is more likely the motor unit than the loom.

If your going to use that loom you could make that yourself for about a tenner, wouldn't pay 50 odd quid for it

Good point, maybe I should replace the wiring as needed. Are the replacement rubbers available?
