« on: March 29, 2017, 08:26:46 am »
Hello hello

Just won a full mk6 R setup for my ED30

Anybody know what braided hoses I need ? Obviously it's R brakes to ED30 so I think I read they were just longer ? Or are they different fittings etc ? Please help lol

Give AKS a ring. Alex sorted me a set for some 7R/PP fronts.

Just a note, depending on your calipers some of the reconditioned ones dont come with the small section of hard pipe brake line that mates to the r32 lines. If this is the case you need to get a slightly different line with a banjo/loop ending (I spoke to HEL and they sorted fronts no problem). Off the shelf r32 lines will have a female-female line which will only connect if you still have the hard brake line in place

^^^ as another option you can also transfer the hard lines from your stock gti as the figment would be the same

No you can't. The OEM GTI caliper doesn't have a hardline on the front caliper

I used these braided hoses for my r32 set up which did away with the hard lines. Only thing I had to do was open up the hole on the bracket slightly to get the banjo through.
