To lower or not to lower that is my question

I'm in two minds whether I should lower the beast or not as I've got a complete H&R suspension set up inc top mounts as a kit so ready to bolt off and bolt on job?.

Same question really, I have a broken rear spring and wondering about lowering or staying stock. I use as daily driver so wouldn't want any to mental.

Lower it  :happy2:

Im on 30mm H&R springs and use the car for my daily commute (30 miles per day) and its not really any less comfortable than stock, but the handling and steering are much improved and sharper because of the spring.

Is there even an answer to this question that isnt 'of course you should'?
H&R sports were the best thing ive done to my car, daily driven 50miles a day mixture of motorway and B roads and it rides awesome and doesnt scrape anywhere

Do you think it worth replacing the shocks also, as they are the same on there from day 1 and car is on 80k. Sorry to high jack this..... now what brand of spring? VWR or H&R? Only £25 difference.

I've got a broken front spring so I decided to replace them all with the VWR set as it wasn't any more expensive than buying just the fronts from VW I then decided as its all going to be in bits I may as well change the top mounts and bearings, I then thought that I might as well replace the dampers while I'm at it with new OEM GTI ones along with all the new nuts and bolts you need to since the car is 10 years old and has 124k on the clock. It's turning out to be very expensive since I'm using all genuine parts even though the dealer gave me a 15% discount but at least I know it will all be ok for a long while afterwards. Something to think about perhaps?

Where did you purchase from? Personally as you have it I would give it ago you can always revert back to standard.

Only reason I'm worried is because I'm already catching the speed bumps with my ED30 spoiler and these bumps aren't small you hear me?, check my thread for the one on my road and the cars standard ride height ATM so a little concerned it will be ripping the front off if I lower. Only real was to do this is to fit them and see what happens isn't it  :doh:

My tt was very low and with the votex over spoiler and LCR splitter is was stupidly low but again will only know once fitted.

as post above this I'm just scared of damaging my car as I know the perks of having them fitted. Just fitted my H&R roll bars and the steering is nice and tight now with less body roll too so handles very well  :happy2:
