Battery Replacement - Will I Need Code for Radio?
« on: April 17, 2017, 08:44:29 am »
As title....Plan on changing battery sometime, but I don't have the code for the radio / satnav. It's the standard OEM one. Car is 05. Any thoughts, please...

Cheers

When I changed my battery it didn't require a code. I have the factory MFD sat nav.

If it does ask for code start your car it should start working after a few seconds

The radio code is stored in the cluster on mk5s and more recent models. You won't need the code and VW doesn't give it anyways. Only saw a few people saying otherwise but not sure what were their radios.
