Anybody know the difference between these two parts of any..Passat B6 front control arm:-3C0407153B and also found control arm:-3C0407151G which says Passat/Sharan and other VAG cars

Both look identical to me 😕

If you check ETKA you can't find this part number: 3C0407153B. It's weird. They both look the same, so I don't know why the different part number.

I can see both on eBay for sale... I agree both look identical, think I’ve established that the ‘3C0407153B’ is from the Passat B6 running 2006/2010 year so I’m presuming the ‘3C0407151G’ is from the later 2010 run VAG cars but not 100% sure

I should be ok buying x2 ‘3C0407153B’ used control arms from eBay as will purchase new Passat B6 ball joints aswell then I’m gunna buy the superpro front control bush kit and fit all the lot, then get car realigned on a Hunter Hawk or something similar 👍🏼

Hoping everything fits..I like to do as much homework as possible as I get very annoyed once there with tools if bodying is required

Stick with OEM front wishbone bushes.  I hear from a number of respected tuners that aftermarket poly bushes are not an improvement at all over the stock parts.  Worse in some cases.  I know the early SuperPro front bushes caused problems.  Not sure if the revised ones are any better, but I opted to leave those off mine and just fitted the consoles.  No complaints.   Great steering and no wheel tramping.

I have the superpro lower arm kit plus balljoints, complete with the road durometer poly bushes. The ensemble droves very nicely, with incisive steering and no adverse NVH issues.

The BF price I got wasn’t much different to buying old passat ones plus SALK plus front bushes and paying to get them pressed. I do however have some grubby old Passat B6 alloy hubs just delivered, sadly Superpro didn’t stock any shiny new ones 😂

Hmmm, decisions decisions..was going to give the arms a good clean then fit the superpro complete bush kit at work as can use our hydraulic press then it would just be a matter of removing my OEM arms and replacing with the 2nd hand Passat ones & fitting the new genuine Passat ball joints at the same time.

Not looking for anything to drastic, just a lighter & stiffer standard set up with new ball joints and a good old alignment

Sounds like a plan Acko but why not get some adjustable bjs and achieve some more negative camber at the same time? Here’s an extract from today’s Evo roadtest of the optimistically priced Seat Cupra R

“while the strut front suspension has been adjusted to deliver greater negative camber in an attempt to improve turn-in and front-end grip – it has been increased from 1.3 degrees to two degrees.“

2 degrees is a lot for a road car.  I bet the tramlining and lorry rut weaving isn't pleasant.  It's bad enough with -1, let alone double that!

Not to worry Kev as they won’t sell many of these at £35k.

Not as cash sales, but they will probably go in droves as leases!

They are only allocating 24 of this model to UK, so best form an orderly queue.......

Ah, OK.  Is it Seat's version of the Clubsport S?  Didn't know it existed until you mentioned it!
