What's this do?
« on: April 28, 2017, 07:22:18 am »
Hi guys, I picked up a 2007 mk5 gti yesterday  :happy2:

I have a question on what does this switch do? If I turn it on i get a audible beep twice from somewhere in the cockpit. Turn it off and no sound from it. It'll only do the beeps if the ignition is on, im stumped on what it does.

Any ideas?

Dave.

One is Tyre pressure monitoring system, one is Traction control

That isn't standard, previous owner put that in.  Contact them and ask what it's for.

I'd be more concerned about replacing the flaking gearstick surround  :surprised:

I reckon it opens up a wormhole to fold space-time.

In traffic they would be extremely annoying if you kept them turned on. My old car you could turn off the front and rear, handy if you are going down a narrow lane.

Front makes sense, but turn the back off? Why was that even active if the car isnt in reverse???

There's a proper way to retrofit front parking sensors with an OEM button. That's not it!
