So, who would buy this... just for the seats?

Phoned the girl earlier and she is not interested in splitting, but equally couldn't tell me how genuine all of the exterior parts are.

Obviously steering wheel/seats/gear knob are all Ed30 parts, but what about the xenons/front splitter/side skirts/rear valance/tail lights?

I want the seats and would be prepared to buy the car, sell off all of the stuff if genuine for profit and replace with standard if/when I can find them.

Thinking this may be too much hassle just for a set of seats... and my cars a 5 door. Those seats have the mechanism for folding ala 3 door.

Would anyone else be this dumb?

Edition 30 interior seats are around £600-700, Knob would be around £50-100, steering wheel £150-360 depending on condition.

Strip off the GTI and edition 30 exterior badges and you could probably get £2000-3000 for it if you refit different seats etc. So end up being say £800 side up or the ed 30 interior

But if you do part it out I'd be interested in the steering wheel controller and maybe some of the interior silver trims

Could never understand how someone could put that much money into a car to look like another car.

I get it when you have a TDI and you fit a GTI kit for £100 but to change the rest to bring it to that spec???

Could be a case of the owner before her worked for a scrap yard and an edition 30 came in crashed so they gutted it at cost? I would call up and see who did all the work.

Buy it, gut it and sell it!

If you were patient you would break even at best. Think about the fact that you'll likely retain the most valuable bits.
