Back on the forum again after not having a MK5 for a while.

This was my old TDI

And a few of my new GTI.

I've owned it for a couple of weeks now and really enjoying being a bit more of an enthusiast again and doing some mods on it.

But I have a problem I could use some advice on, I have access to a snap on solus machine and scanned it today after the engine management light came on. Here's a pic of the codes.

Ignore the MAF one that was my fault for not connecting it back up after having the engine cover off.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Did you clear them and take it for a run after reconnecting the maf sensor?

As above.  The other 2 errors go hand in hand with a defective MAF.

The engine management light came back on today and the only code showing is P2187 again.

The MAF doesn't look genuine. Could this be faulty or possibly the loom?

It could be the loom if it's complaining about the supply voltage, but it also doesn't sound encouraging if the maf is aftermarket.  Perhaps try a new genuine one first and go from there.
