I would never ever use engine flush on any of my cars as I've tried it once and never again  :doh:makes the car rattle like mad

You know what, I could hear a rattle afterwards that nearly sounded like the chain which I've never had an issue with.

I think it's gone now which leads me to believe it was just sucking all the oil up to every single crevice.

If I could go back I probably wouldn't use it but considering I dropped the sump and cleaned everything down I'm not afraid of any lasting issues.
I hope you didn't mind me saying so mate. What I'd do for peace of mind and if it were my mistake as I know this sh** is still in the engine thinning the oil and breaking it down is renew the oil but you've used expensive stuff so not sure you're willing to give it a go or take the rust  :surprised:

To be honest, I'd say I've stripped 99% of it out since I did in fact take the sump off at the time.

I'll change the oil again in 5,000 miles so she'll be ok until then!

Update 22nd June 2018

So it's been a while since I've updated my thread.
Mainly because Photobucket tried to monetize it's service so without photos the threads weren't as interesting!

Anyway, since then I've probably done a few things to the car although I can't recall most of it.

Here are the latest updates from my camera roll:

Hit my highest mpg of 47.4mpg over 60 miles

Hit 100,000 miles

Installed an RNS 510 with play in motion

Installed a Votex Front Splitter

Update 25th June 2018

Roof Racks Vs No Roof Racks?

No Roof Rack

Roof Rack

I put them on because I transport timbers the odd time. I found the noise off them above 80km/hr is horrible especially with the sunroof tilted so they might need to go and only be put on as needed.

You need something like this to reduce air noise: https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/roof-rack/accessories/thule-airscreen-8700-_-1689690

Not a fan at all!

You're actually the only other person on the forum I've seen with one @Shoduchi

How do you find the noise?

I don't have one. I have a Candy White and a Silver Reflex mk5 Golf.

I have a friend who has a Thule fairing and I remember he saying that it dramatically reduced the noise. I guess you can check the feedback online from who has them too.
