My Edition 30 has developed a slight creaking noise that comes from the front, mostly when steering, and most noticeable at low speeds when parking.
It only started after I had it lowered on Eibach springs with the stock dampers so I suspect the top mounts. Also the garage that lowered it said they think the top mounts are more likely to be the cause of the noise than the steering rack. Although they said it's safe how it is I want the noise gone as it's making it sound old!
Should I replace the top mounts and bearings or just the bearings? I found the front strut top bearings on GSF for only £16 which seems very reasonable. Would these be good, durable parts?
