Personally I think you were done.  Looking at the state of the calipers and discs, pads etc, plus the fitment problems - it was all fit for the bin really.  But still, you did an ace job on the calipers, they look sweet  :happy2:

I'm always wary of people selling stuff incomplete.  Parts, project cars, 'kits', you name it.  There's always a reason for it, and never a good one, so be on your guard in future.  Cheap stuff is cheap for a reason  :happy2:

I have just spoke to the person that fitted the pads when I was away and he is saying yes he had to take a very small amount off each side of the sliding face as the paint was bubbling stopping the pads from sliding perfectly. But again I said on more than one occasion that the pads were not fit for the track and new pads were needed. Not the wrong pads as said.

Touching the ball joint I have no idea, 100% no idea why I ran these on my s3 and now they are hitting yours, seems it has already been explained. Again I continued to say to everyone please do your own homework for mk5 fitment. As I had to do from TT to s3 and got it wrong.

Bleeding you are saying they have not been bled, 100% they have I went from oem fluid to AP racing fluid I can give you the exact date and mileage from the book.

Pudding the discs did not look like that when I sold them, those look like they have been stored at the bottom of the sea the amount of corrosion on them.

Cheers, Stevie.

No worries, just going by the pics.  I don't know the full details of the transaction between you two.

its quite hilarious that!!! The discs were only taken out the box to check them the morning they arrived and I knew they were used from outset but remained silent till I seen the other issues!!! The rust was already visible and again said nothing as that wasn't my issue and below is what I took when the kit arrived although I didn't take a picture of the inner rust or the nipples as my hands were full and couldn't be bothered to take the gloves on and off you lied about everything imho    thanks for trying to make something like this a joke and maybe you live at the bottom of the sea is why these discs were rusty

They sat in the box for a couple of days as did the calipers and then the calipers went off for paint then the discs came out to fit up within the week or receiving them  :stupid:

@Pudding don't believe what others say as the proof is in the pudding  :signLOL:

Ps I forgot I took this picture just before fitting them to get the bell measurements so here's the real deal and that's within a week so the rust and lip must have sprung out from thin air then

How am I going to find new discs for the bells???

Contact reyland. Thay can make discs to fit anything. You might have to send them one of the bells so they can measure them

sent them an email 2hours ago thanks @rich83   :drinking: looks like another £330 ish to waste  :slap: :@

Totalling £800 for a set of feckling light weight brakes depending on the weight of new discs

Selling my Porsche turbo set up though so hopefully bring me back a few quid

nothing just wanted lighter brakes tbh as those discs are feather weight in comparison to even the oem discs.
