sidelights?

I have a golf r, but cant seem to find my sidelights? am I being stupid or are they just the strips in the lower grills the led?

There are sidelights but they're not wired up, as you quite rightly mention we have the DRL in the lower grills. You can wire up side lights (they are physically there) to add extra lighting if you wish, there was a guide over on VWROC.com a while back... I want to do it myself so let me dig it up.
