Fiscon Basic Plus Kit
« on: February 03, 2010, 08:23:55 am »
Is the Fiscon Basic Plus Kit any good.

I have a Parrot MKi9000 but have been having a few issues of late with it deciding to work when it wants to and locking out the stereo to the point i have to take the dash apart disconnect the whole thing for a couple of mins. Then i can reconnect and it will work fine for a couple of weeks before stopping again.

I was looking at the OEM but this unit seems to have better functionality and is updateable.

So thoughts please and also if anyone has one can you let me know what you think of it.

Also is everything included in the box and it really is just a case of whip out the RNS510 plug this in, locate the Mic and hey presto away we go?

I have an RNS510 and Maxidot display (same as highline) in my Skoda Octavia vRS

It's a good kit...been using it for around 8 months or so.

you can update the firmware via bluetooth - this is primarily to support new handsets.  Updates come through pretty much on a quarterly basis.
