Fuel pump washer helllppppp!!
« on: May 31, 2017, 07:11:07 pm »
If anyone is able to help I'd be so so grateful.

Cut a long story short whilst replacing my cam follower this afternoon I managed to drop a washer for the fuel line. Basically I removed the fuel line and then removed the brass coupler to get at the next line. (I know didn't have to) and when re-installing it managed to drop the washed into the abyss and cannot find it. The washer sat between coupler and the fuel pump, if anyone knows where to get one I'd owe you.

Thank you in advance

Can you throw up the part number for future reference?

Is that the infamous Banjo connection?  Mine has a rubber hose for that bit.  Can't say I've ever seen a washer on the part circled on mine?

No the banjo is behind the fuel line circled. You should have the same connection on yours. You probably have never removed the valve (no need to), there is a tiny washer that sits on top of the brass valve circled.

Ah OK, so it's not an NPT thread then.  Just suggested in a different thread about a box of mixed size generic copper washers from Halfords.  One them must fit.

N 013 806 3 (M10 X 14)
N013 811 4 (M10X13.5)

I've ordered two of both of these from VW (about 40p each) which should do it as somebody suggest in another post. Providing I don't drop all of these I should have a spare if anyone is desperate for one.

All back up and running just using a generic M4 copper washer that I managed to get at a hydraulics place :happy2:
