Rear bumper

The dull plastic bit on the bottom of the rear bumper can that be spray painted. (Colour coded)?.

I can yes. Just takes some time since it need to be sprayed with some filler to smooth it out and the sanded etc etc..

I've been recently considering this myself, asked for a quote from a local body shop and they said £692!  :scared: I think I'll be leaving it then!

Hehe yeah it's also very pricy to buy these pieces colour coded from VW.

@Christiank  have you got a diy of how to do it or what did you follow . Ic been meaning to do it but like @Octoparrot said it quite costly and the body shop

No sorry. Mine were already colour coded from VW. And I haven't got around to do the new rear bumper for my car yet since there'll be alot of work in that piece and haven't got the time yet.

I will try to fit a MK5 R32 bumper with the lower splitter from a MK6 GTI.


Third option is to get a used one from ebay or a nearby auto-recycle and have that re-sprayed.
