HID random light output
« on: June 03, 2017, 08:42:40 pm »
Car is fitted with factor option HID headlight. Switched them on today and the drivers side has dimmed and turned a very yellow colour.
Going to have to replace them. Where is the best place to get a new set that fit like the OEM ones and is 5K the whitest light output?
Does the front bumper need removing to remove the headlights?

Cheers in advance
Jason

OEM bulbs are D2S and are 4300k if I remember correctly.
You can change them without taking the headlights out. It is a bit of a tight space but doable.

Driverside xenon has now packed in and light on dash and warning.
Going to buy a full new kit including blasts. What bulb fittinment would I require? They are factory fitted dipped xenons.
All the websites are say H7 but some are now says d2s.
Also would 5K be the whitest light colour to get or would 6K be better?

Thanks again
Jason

Why would you need to change ballasts?
If they are factory xenons you just need a pair of d2s bulbs.
